Piers Milburn (Pythouse Kitchen Garden & Sprigster Drinks) and I have teamed up to bring you a distilling workshop, focussed on the healing properties of hydrosols and the various ways we can enjoy these liquids as delicious non-alcoholic drinks.
We’ll start by harvesting our ingredients in the garden and then we’ll get to work and distill our plants in a hands-on workshop using a copper alembic still. You will smell and taste various hydrosols, compare their characteristics and learn about their energetic and healing properties. As the still bubbles away, we’ll sit down for a fantastic homegrown lunch from Chef Darren Broom, and a range of Sprigster drinks made with garden hydrosols.
After lunch, we’ll head back to the stills to bottle our creations under Saskia’s expert guidance. Everyone will receive a bottle of their special hydrosol, and a Sprigster Drinks goody bag.
